"Quite apart from the spectacular rooms and hotel in general, the absolute sheer glee of being hosted by someone who loves meeting wollw, and makes an ASTONISHING fried slice made this an absolutely gleeful base to do the Yorkshire coast from. Stay here, Filey is a small town, but The Bank bar is just great and everything you'd want get to (says a Yorkshireman) is an easy, no traffic 45 mins away. Rooms are great, breakfast end-to-end is marvellous and you genuinely won't find better value for excellence in that part of the world."

"The cottage is in a lovely location, very close to Filey, with some lovely walks around the village. The quirky Ship Inn (100 yds away) provides wonderful food and a very warm welcome. The 'little Stithy' cottage was very comfortable, however, we felt it didn't need the kitchen in the same room. We were kept awake most of the night from the humming of the fridge and the bright timer light on the microwave! A tea towel remedied this. It states on this web site that the cottages are dog friendly, two of them are, but the one we stayed in isn't. The owner was sympathetic and said that it would be ok as he is an older dog. Be mindful of this when booking! "
