"It was pouring with rain when we arrived, so we really appreciated having the carport and entry cover, so we didn’t get soaked hauling our luggage in. Great for a 1nt stay on our way from Wellington to the Coromandel. Because of the weather the Coromandel didn’t happen, but that’s a whole other story! "

"Magnificent location, spacious living quarters for a family of four. Water is right outside with sailboats gliding across the water. Quiet yet close to the happenings in town. Wish we had at least another day to stay in this beautiful chalet. We loved Taupo!"

"Lovely to stay in a cottage with humbling history. Comfortable beds, spacious and good bath and bed linen. The sofa is stained so quite off putting to sit on, but we placed a blanket cover over to improve the appearance. Nice to have air conditioner too. Sad the Wi-Fi was so intermittent."

"Room was clean and had a nice courtyard patio. There is a walkway toward the lakefront where there is a trail for miles. The hotel management is super responsive and helpful. We stayed just one night and didn’t use the pool or hot tub "

"We had a fabulous three nights at Clearwater. We loved being right beside the lake and had a beautiful panoramic view from our unit. The setting was very restful - just what we needed. The Clearwater staff were very friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable, and the shower and in-room spa were great. (Fantastic pressure in the shower!) The motor lodge is only a quick drive (or a nice walk) into town for coffee, shopping, activities and takeaway meals, and we also went down to Rainbow Point...

"We love visiting these spa pools every time we visit Taupo. So staying at the resort was an easy choice. Easy check in and out, quick walk to the pools and back. Room is clean, wifi's good. Enough space to park directly outside of the room. We've also stayed at the Hilton next door which has a fab pool. This is a great alternative if you want to save a it of cash. "

"Absolutely loved this hotel!!!! It is spacious with a separate cooking area with stove microwave and refrigerator. The best part is the bathroom with a separate mineral tub to soak in. The water comes out piping hot so you need to add cold water to it. My favorite stay in all of New Zealand by far. There is a view from the lakeside units."
