If you are visiting Florence, you absolutely must stay at this property. The B&B is located in the literal heart of the city, only 100 feet from where poet and writer Dante Alighieri lived. You are only a two minute walk to the Palazzo Vecchio and Piazzo della Signoria to the south and four minutes to the famous Duomo to the north. You look out from the B&B's third floor bedroom windows onto your own, intimate medieval square, the Piazza de' Cimatori. The hustle and bustle of restaurants, visitors, and residents alike is soothing and unlike anything we've ever experienced. You can see the bell tower of the Badia Fiorentina abbey and hear the wonderful bells in the morning and evenings. If you want to experience Florence and really feel a part of community and identity, stay here! But that is only half of the reason to stay here. The new owners and hosts Mattia and Patricia (B&B Cimatori has been operating for three or more decades) are reason enough to stay here. Patricia bakes the croissants served fresh every morning for breakfast and are simply amazing. Our hosts constantly went out of their way to assist us with local information, booking tours, restaurant, and shopping suggestions. They are a wonderfully delightful couple and have put their heart into this B&B. Do not go to Florence and simply stay in a hotel. Go to Florence and have your accommodations be a part of the Florentine experience!
