Only negative was, we felt, on our first couple of days at breakfast there seemed to be a shortage of staff, disorganisation, having to ask for things e.g. cups, teaspoons etc, also most empty tables still had dirty dishes on from previous guests, and we had to wait for one to be cleared on more than one occasion. "Very helpful and kind staff - made our stay wonderful! They provided a map of Nice with hot spots highlighted, and beach towels to use for free! The breakfast buffet was great and worth the cost. Location was also great - right across from the train station and about 25mins to the water:) Would definitely recommend staying here."

"Nice hotel overall but overpriced. Close to station but quiet. Didn’t think it was particularly good value for money. Room decor is lovely but it’s still by and large quite cheaply put together- plastic basin in bathroom that stains easily and cheap damaged bedside tables. Beds were comfortable. Area near the station isn’t the nicest."

"The only thing good I have to say about this property is it was in a great location but up 3 flights of stairs, horrible, with no lift. There is no real bathroom….You walk in and there is a random sink and shower in your sleeping area. There is no room to even place a bar of soap. Expedia, how do you allow these bookings on your website? Our sink smelled of sewer for the first two nights. No compensation and the last two nights the family above us ran around like animals until after midnight. I...

"We loved staying at Hotel Neptune. Its proximity to the tram, beach and promenade, restaurants, etc, were perfect. The size of the room was just fine for two travelers and our suitcases. We didn’t unpack as there’s room to do so but were able to hang up a few items. The full shower was great as well."

"This was a perfect hotel for exploring Nice! The staff were all so friendly and helpful, especially Maria and John. They provided me with extra coffee pods and milk and were always there to answer question. My room was quiet, clean and cool, my three most important things in a hotel."
