"Great location, We kept it as a base to move south and north. Very nice hotel. Staff were amazing. Breakfast was great, Parking inside the hotel had issues as the beams very close but that is a structural issue how it was made. Liked the hotel over all"

"The stay was decent the only complaint I have isn't huge, just something to mention about my room. The shower didn't work properly, alone with the use of an old school shower curtain. It made for very annoying showers."

"Unique experience on the river"

"This hotel is located right on the Douro, in a picturesque spot. There's a parking area right outside. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel claims to be four star; it may have been once but it no longer is. The rooms are spartan. A 20" tv from the 2000s. No amenities whatsoever in the bathroom, which had a broken wall shower and between one and three lights randomly working, depending on I know what. I had to move furniture to find the only single wall outlet close to the bed....

"Stayed at the Arts Hotel on two separate occasions over a two week period with the location proving ideal for our requirements. On both occasions we received a friendly welcome from the front office team with effective, efficient and smooth check-ins, nothing was to much bother for them and they dealt with any issues or enquiries we had speedily and effectively. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable, especially after spending 12 days walking the Camino Portuguese, this was the only hotel ...

"We had such an incredible stay. We were taken great care of primarily by Carlos but also the rest of the staff. Very warm energy from them and they were very accommodating to our needs. The room itself was exceptional, but the added touch was the birthday card, dessert, and port wine to start off my partners 30th off right. Obviously the view from the terrace was the highlight, but everything else about our stay really elevated the experience. Looking forward to our next visit."

"Lovely hotel centrally located but after having stayed at 5 stars all over Europe, I’d say this place has yet to learn more about what it means to provide 5 star service. As a family traveling with a 7 year old were surprised to learn upon arrival that the pool was only available from 8am-11am for our child, The concierge wasn’t very helpful or offered any insights for our stay in Porto. For a small-ish property you’d expect more personalized service. Facilities are great there is no doubt...

"Gran Cruz House is an exceptional place to stay, perfectly situated right on the Douro River. The location is unbeatable, with everything you could want or need just a short walk away. Breakfast was superb, and I highly recommend having dinner at the restaurant as well—the food was delicious. Be sure to sample their outstanding port wine too! The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making our stay truly memorable. I highly recommend Gran Cruz House to anyone visiting Porto!"

"The overall stay was good but I just wish the check in process were better that they could have inform us a little bit earlier before we arrive or checked in. I emailed them before arrival but they reply really late. We stayed there from Sunday to Wednesday and there's a change in the gate code to get inside the building. They never informed us. They told me to email me the new code instead of just saying it directly and I waited for their email which never came. So I have to call them and ask...
