"The hotel is fine to get to, but the parking is unbelievably annoying. You have to book ahead to confirm a space, but that costs £30 and then you have to somehow confirm with the booking company you were a guest. The rooms themselves were ok, slightly dated but not in a worrying way. However, we booked a family room which turned out to mean a bed and a sofa bed, and the sofa bed had no linens on it so we had to request that to get made after we'd checked in. "The Loans Inn is a beautiful destination. A “resort”-style establishment within a village setting. The Loans is offers nice - clean - well-appointed hotel rooms, plus a nice restaurant and pub. Live entertainment - courteous staff. The local town is wonderfully social and friendly (within a mile of Royal Troon Golf Course - one of the British Open courses) and still farms very nearby."

"Not a great experience The hotel is very shabby. Bed uncomfortable and room old fashioned. There was a random table in mine taking up space the room didn’t have with no chairs for it. No hairdryer in the room, had to phone down and ask for it. The iron leaked all over a cream skirt, spitting mucky water on it and marking it. Some kind of event / disco last night so extremely noisy and I wasn’t advised about it on check in. I have no issue at all with people having fun - and it sounded like...

"Good value hotel in the centre of Cumnock. Room 5 was large with a sofa. Bed comfortable and fan in room which was needed whilst the UK was in the midst of a heatwave. Staff were very friendly especially in the restaurant. Small hotel parking area but on road and free parking nearby if full."

"Room was spotless, great shower. Bed was really comfortable. The food from the restaurant was excellent and service was great. 4 EV chargers which allowed us to charge up before going home. Only couple of issues, I filled in online the “pre checkin” form to save time (hotels words not mine). But when I got to reception I had to complete it again. Iron in the room was all sticky too. Small issues, hotel was great"
