"My review pertains to an injury I sustained on the property & how it was handled by the desk clerk (Jessica) & property manager (Sally). After breakfast my husband & I used the hotel restrooms located outside the room where the breakfast was served. As I entered the stall, the door slowly closed behind me & my forearm made contact with the metal door latch, which was defective, with very sharp edges. As a result, a large piece of my skin was scraped completely back, leaving an open bleeding wound. We went to the office & asked Jessica if they had a first aid kit available & she told us that it was locked inside the manager's (Sally's) office. She offered me a white washcloth, which I declined because I didn't know how clean it was. She did not offer to get me help. She contacted their maintenance man, & I showed him the door latch defect. We returned later in the evening & it had not been fixed. This was on Sat., 4/18/26, & Med Check in Gatlinburg was closed. We purchased First Aid supplies at the grocery store. Jessica lied to the general manager, Sally, & said she offered me a bandaid & to call for help. She did neither of these things. Sally was incredibly defensive, made excuses, & questioned the validity of my First Aid expenses when I asked for reimbursement. Note that I didn't ask for the room charge to be comped, and was shocked that it was never offered. It was a terrible experience & I will never return to this hotel again. This is not how you treat your guests."
