"Arrived 30 mins before check in and was taken straight to our room. The lady that showed us to our room was lovely, and was very kind when my toddler chatted away to her. Room was clean and looked lovely. I liked that you could park right outside your room which was easy to unload the car. The view from the patio was endless countryside and at night it was rural enough that there was no light pollution and could see the stars. Room was well stocked with all types of teas and coffees. "I was able to check in online before I arrived at The Kicking Dickey. The staff were very helpful and friendly along with the pub which I thought was very welcoming. My room was at the rear of the property so away from any noise. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained, I think it might of been a converted stable. Nice functional bathroom with a shower and a very comfortable single bed. Lots of free parking outside the property. All in all well worth a stay."

"The location to the airport was amazing. We arrived by train and walked to the hotel. In the morning we had a nice breakfast and walked back to the airport to catch our flight. Seamless! Bonus that the property was beautifully maintained."

"This is a 17th century coaching inn, which makes it a wonderful place to stay. The staff, especially the reception, were excellent and the room was clean. Yes, it's above a pub so it's not going to be super quiet until after it closes, but there was more noise from adjacent rooms than the pub. An evening meal was very good (meat pies top notch) and continental breakfast was good. For non-UK guests, yes, the room is going to be small, and for North American guests it is also going to be cold...
