"This is a gem! Great location and a beautiful place that retains the charm of its age but is updated to be clean and comfortable for modern use. Everyone on staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast excellent with beautiful porch for outside eating. If you are driving let them know when you book your room and they will reserve you a parking spot conveniently located across the street. Wonderful place!"

"We absolutely loved everything about this apartment. The location is extremely convenient and the city views from inside the apartment (especially the view of the church) was beautiful. A lot of space for our family to stretch out , we traveled with two teenage girls and it was nice for them to each have their own bedroom. The rooftop patio was our favorite feature as you enjoy panoramic views of Lucerne. Hands down the best experience. Highly recommend. Communication with the host was...

"Amazing hotel. We had a suite that overlooked the lake and city and had a spa tub on the balcony! It was well worth the extra price to wake up and see the sun highlighting the lake and a wonderful view of the mountains. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating to all our needs. A short walk from restaurants, bars, shops, and train station. This was a great place to stay!!"

"I understand my reservation didn’t start until three. They were over a half hour late letting us check in. Didn’t get to the room until almost 4 pm. Not sure how this place is this highly rated. For over $1000 a night I would expect to have the place better prepared to support check in requirements. Don’t spend the money on this place! Not worth it"

"I didn't realize this place is not staffed, so that was our only issue when arriving at 10am after an overnight flight with no place to store luggage. A really helpful guy at the plant store next door told us there would be a code to let us in, etc., but with no one to talk to and no way to call due to our limited data plan, it took us awhile to figure it out. If you need to store luggage, there's a luggage storage place inside a jewelry store just a few min walk away (look up Radical Storage)...

"The air conditioner broke in the middle of a heat wave in the middle of the night. We called downstairs but we were only able to partially restore it after a lot of effort and waking everyone in the room up. The hotel obviously does not maintain the property as well as they could. They should not be charging the prices they do for rooms with no air conditioning. When we checked out, the staff don’t even ask us how our stay was. Some staff were friendly and helpful but others were definitely not....

"I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Royal Luzern. The view from my room on the second floor was just absolutely incredible! The staff, especially Elena, were most accommodating, polite and friendly. I will most definitely stay here again next time when I'm in Luzern."
