"Very pleasant stay ,nice rooms and view ,good parking and excellent food"

"Unfortunatly the Pecking Mill Inn was in need of a good clean. Very dated and forgotton. There were beer pumps but not in use. Cans were poured into our glasses and price was not cheaper. Food was on offer but we chose not to beat. Room was unclean. Did not use shower. Geoff was a lovely host and welcomed us."

The accommodation is in a separate building set behind the pub in the beer garden..the room was comfortable with a lovely bathroom. "Booked a deluxe room for 2 nights. Allocated a substandard room, needing refurbishment, tired with curtains hanging off poles, dark and dingy with broken tiles in the bathroom. Staff in denial initially, eventually moved into another much better standard of room. On our departure we had no hot water. Breakfast was a poor experience too with staff in addition not informing us that Breakfast started later on a Saturday. So no breakfast that day due to our departure time. "A lovely stop over with our dog. Room was fine and bed comfy. Ensuite bathroom was also fine and clean. Food in the pub was good and fresh especially the breakfast. Dog given a sausage which he was very greatful for. A perfect stop over in a peaceful location"
