This place was older but the staff and owners / mangers were the most kind and considerate of anyone we had met on our trip. They took such good care of us and the food was excellent. Room was on the zero level which I have stayed in before on quite a few occasions - they are always cold, bathroom radiators don’t work and tv signal is awful and pixilated. Other than that the reception team, health club and restaurant were as good as usual

Unique place with still a few historic buildings. The Tor was lovely to visit and so was Chalice Well gardens. The Rifle Inn pub had reasonably priced drinks and friendly staff. Bocabar restaurant had amazing fresh/tasty food and a must visit!

It’s quirky, small and won’t suit everyone (not the place to go for a shopping trip unless you want incense, crystals and Tibetan singing bowls) but it has a wonderful esoteric charm. And the view from the Tor is breathtaking
