"I had stayed there once before and it was fine. Basic, but fine. This time was another story. The room smelled like turpentine when we arrived. It was eye-watering, so we turned on the bathroom fan all night, which competed with the heater for ‘most-like-a-machine-gun’ sound. The towels had stains (blood? makeup?) and the bathroom walls had the same stains. Clogged sink: check. Filthy, stained tub: check. Late night visit by the police to a noisy neighboring room: check. Several lights did not work; one had no on/off switch, so we had to unscrew the bulb. The TV never did work- no signal. It was kind of like a cliche of ‘cheap and rundown motel’. You get what you pay for, and we got it. "

"Older in that looks like it has been renovated. I gotta studio style apartment for a pretty decent price. Located right at the edge of town, with easy access to everything. Very quiet in with ample parking"

"One thing I really liked was its location. And they provide breakfast and it was good. But the room was not clean. We found some clothes in the drawer. And that says they don't clean thoroughly. Toilet was clogged and no housekeeper at the moment, so they gave us a plunger. We had to do ourselves. Staff didn’t even bother to check on us. Indoor pool was cold. My kid really wanted the pool. I couldn't risk her catching cold. Well, paying $500 for 2 nights was unreasonable and disappointing."

"Very nice hotel. Historical, really cool hotel to stay in and look back to the late 1800s early 1900s. Will definitely come back to the hotel in the future. Rooms were clean, staff is very nice. Hot springs are an easy walk. Food in the hotel was excellent."

"Such a unique and cozy place! Derek has put so much thought into designing the home both for guest comfort as well as for preserving the historical aspect of the home. The king bed was extremely comfortable, the place was well stocked with snacks and breakfast items, and the hot tub was perfect for sprawling out and relaxing after long ski days. Will definitely be back! "
