Arabella Jagdhof Resort am Fuschlsee, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

"Lovely area. The lake is 10 mins walk from the hotel, down a steep hill, and there are areas by it with sunloungers. The walk around the lake is pleasant and, at about 11km, takes a few hours; you can break at the far end where there are restaurants etc. The standard rooms in the hotel are reasonably sized, but not huge, and we had a king size bed, fridge, safe etc. - though note unless you pay extra for a specific view e.g. lake, then you may get the road side and the road is noisy; with the windows shut we didn't hear it, but the balcony wasn't going to be used. We stayed for 5 nights and I think the room was cleaned just twice in that time. If you want breakfast in the hotel then choose it when booking - to add it later it was 25 euro per person per day..... a bit excessive compared to other similar hotels we've stayed at. Gym - quite reasonable, if not the best; cardio and cable machines. The spa area has 2 saunas - hot and really hot; note this is a "no-bathing-costumes" zone. The pool is a reasonable size but was coldish ... the issue with that is that the jacuzzi is actually just an area of the pool with bubbles.... so not warm at all and so we didn't use it. My main criticism, WIFI, much of the time I could connect but would get disconnected after a few seconds and then could not reconnect; this applied to phones & computer. Reported it but nothing happened. With no mobile signal either, this did mean I couldn't do online stuff I needed to do whilst there."

"Very quiet room in a very clean, safe area. Easy walk or Uber to main attractions. Staff very friendly. The shower and sink are in the room which took some adjusting to but wasn’t much of a problem. It would be if 2 people room had different schedules. We would recommend this hotel."

"We were warmly welcomed and our suitcases carried up for us the second we arrived. We booked a family room which was spacious and clean - nothing fancy but pleasent enough. We appreciated the Aircon during a heatwave! The pool was nice, but very cold. No one else was in the spa area so I enjoyed the quiet! Breakfast was nice, and all the waiting staff were super friendly. The bar looked nice but we didn't have time to use it. It's a shame they didn't have a restaurant in the evening as that would have been useful with a young tired child with us but there was a great restaurant they recommended literally around the corner."

"Stay was good, very nice location. We had the panoramic room, it isn’t a full panaramic view..so I feel the room is misrepresented..it should really just say “mountain view”..the word panaramic is mis leading…the staff seem not happy whatso ever ..and it says “free welcome drink” ..but we ended up with a tiny jam… Good stay but seems to be a bit of false advertising."

"Very friendly and helpful staff. Great room with amazing view. (Room 7). Very nice balcony. In the center of the village. Easy walking to everything. I would stay there again. Lovely very small coffee shop and café on ground floor. Great selection of high quality cakes. No TV in room but don't let that put you off. It's a very nice place to stay."

"We had the library suite with fireplace. Too warm for the fireplace but the views out each of the three windows was fantastic! We ordered the in suite breakfast each morning and it was fabulous! Easy communication with our host using WhatsApp. The front door from the 1700's was a bit tricky but it's not every day that one gets to step in through history! We enjoyed our layed back stay along with the gorgeous sights and sounds!"

"Great spacious apartment with all the amenities you need. Lovely big kitchen space with everything you need and a great balcony. Lovely big bathroom and comfy bed. It was really helpful to be able to do some washing and have access to a spacious garage for our car. Only slight issue is we couldn't find the key code to open the garage gate, its very hard to spot at the top of the drive and no obvious sign. It wasn't just us as another couple did the same thing when we came back one day and had to tell them where it was. However as an apartment it was excellent and in a fab location for exploring the surrounding area. The little supermarket up the road is also fab and bigger than you think, plus there is a Hofer(Aldi) a very short drive away which was handy"
