"Very spacious compared to Tokyo hotels. Extra space to lay out luggage and walk around was good for family of 4. Caters to Asian and Western visitors. Did not have signs or mat that told visitors to remove shoes, so not sure if all guests removed shoes while in room."

"This hotel has been a real highlight on our holiday to Hong Kong and Japan. It is a beautifully designed hotel from the entry with onsite cafe and bakery, to the dining and roof top areas and within the rooms themselves. The rooms are spacious with contemporary fit out and finishes. The staff are very friendly and helpful. From a location perspective it is a 10 minute taxi ride from Kyoto station but well placed to walk to Kiyomizu-Dera temple - A must visit on any trip to Kyoto. "

"The Abita is a boutique type hotel in a central but relatively quiet location in Kyoto. The room amenities and fittings were top rated with nice artwork touches. "Lovely hotel with super friendly and helpful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. The rooms were spotless with a lovely Japanese aesthetic - a little bit of Japanese culture was a really nice touch. The minibar items, although limited, were all complementary. We had a king bed and an extra bed for my 19 year old son - both were extremely comfortable and the sheets really crisp yet soft. I found it more comfortable than the Peninsula in Tokyo.
