"The Abita is a boutique type hotel in a central but relatively quiet location in Kyoto. The room amenities and fittings were top rated with nice artwork touches. The staff and systems showed good management and effort to assist the guests stay. The location was good, easy walk to local subway station and further walk/subway ride to restaurants/nightlife and daytime sightseeing activity. Highly recommended for above average hotel stay in Kyoto. "

"We loved our time here! The room was actually pretty spacious compared to other hotels on our Japan trip around the same price point. It was nice to have a little kitchenette for tea and heating up food as well. Close by to A LOT of great food, activities and a park. It’s also a short walk from Kyoto station. The Resy team was very quick to communicate and give us anything we needed when we asked for it :) Would stay here again! "

"PROS: I stayed 5 nights at this ryokan. The staff was nice and attentive, especially my attendant Tomoko and manager Haruka were kind and helpful. The location of this ryokan is good. Breakfast was good and sufficient. CONS: Before you can enter this ryokan, you have to remove your shoes and put on their slippers to walk to your room. These are not disposable slippers, and these are used by all guests. I did not like sharing the slippers with other guests, as this is very unhygienic,...

"Loved staying here. Great property, beautiful room, and very very helpful staff. A little inconvenient for wheelchair users needing to get in and out since their main entrance’s ramp is quiet narrow (couldn’t fit my Whill C2 on it even just not driving it, only rolling it down). That’s the only reason I’m not giving it 5/5 completely. Also the wooden tub is so so nice."
