"Great room. Plenty of space. All necessary items in room. Staff downstairs were very helpful whenever asked. Breakfast was a massive choice of items and staff couldn't do enough. The coffee was great! Perfect for our stay. Have stayed there before and will stay again."

"Gorgeous property, staff were so lovely, lots of parking! Room and decor was lovely and we felt so at home. It’s a shame we didn’t spend more time on site. Breakfast was great, and the cafe was insane! Probably one of the best cafes in the county, if not country. We will definitely return. The choice to purchase local produce from the pantry was a nice touch too. We visited the area for business, but hope to come back in our spare time and stay again!"

"The general condition of the hotel is poor, old, tired and a bit scruffy. The rooms just about fit the bill, but the bathrooms are very small. The general condition of the hotel is not good, the corridors are grotty and the floor is uneven. The staff are hit n miss, the cleaning ladies were friendly enough the night shift staff were completely incompetent, and don't expect room service, I had to order in a pizza!! "The staff were great however the hotel is looking very dated. The door frame looked like it had been kicked in more than once. The carpets, curtains and overall decor were really old. That said, the room was clean yet basic."

"Staff were amazing on reception and a shout out to the male manager(?) next door at Beefeater! Excellent service! Room was sufficient for our needs the only thing that would be great would be a smart tv in the room!"

"Personal choice but didn't like the evening menu choices and breakfast was good if poached eggs were cooked better. Mine still had the clear egg slime on them. Staff were brilliant even down to the housekeeping. Room we had was really lovely, modern and a good size. Lots of space in bathroom and a great shower. Free parking was a real bonus. Really enjoyed our weeks stay at golden fleece hotel"

"Had a two night stay in Room 1. Staff all friendly and helpful. WiFi was on the blink.so not available on our room. They said they needed to fix it. Room was spacious. Lovely bathroom but lighting in both room and bathroom could be brighter. Water hot but found controls on shower difficult to adjust. Tea making facilities all good but I brought my own herbal tea - only standard tea available. Small bottle of still and sparkling water provided."

"Nice and friendly staff, free car park. The mattress should have been replaced years ago and was very uncomfortable. No sound insulation between the rooms so you can hear everything going on in the rooms above and each side. The hotel bar was like walking into the bar in star wars, so we eat at a local restaurant nearby "
