"Best place we ever stayed at during this trip. The Manger room was fantastic and a good value. Wayne, the host was very accommodating and had lots of info on the local area. The pub across the street was wonderful as well. Only nit is that the front made noise every time the wind blew. I suggest weatherstripping so it doesnt rattle. Nevertheless it deserves the 10 out of 10 rating it has on Expedia "

"Two night stay for my partner and I as we were attending a couple of events at The Roadmender. Only a 5 mins walk straight down the road to the venue! Hotel on the outskirts of the town centre, shops, restaurants, bars, takeaways- spoilt for choice all within a few minutes walk. Nice clean room, comfy bed, hot powerful shower, food and drinks available 24/7 and friendly, helpful staff- always ready to greet you with a smile. What more could you want! We would definitely stay again."

"Chris the owner always makes you feel welcome. Dining in the pub is always a tasty experience, as is the selection of ales on the bar. Rooms are tasteful in good shape, and comfortable. Parking is easy, great value for money "

"Fantastic staff ALL so friendly. Rooms were spacious and clean. We got the package deal that included dinner and breakfast. Dinner was great and happy with options available. Breakfast plenty to choose from. Can't fault anything. We used the facilities onsite gym and pool. Incredible gym, well kitted out with decent equipment. Pool was great. Stream room and sauna were good size, didnt feel cramped when other people in. Overall great overnight stay. Would definitely stay again "

"We were allocated a lovely room on the first floor. Good size, very comfortable bed, large powerful shower + toiletries. Great breakfast for only £8 each."
