Right on the beach!

A lovely property right on the beach and a perfect Norfolk get-a-way! Clean with a lovely balcony, we really enjoyed our stay here.

The property itself was lovely, clean, well presented, and in a fantastic beach location. Unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by several unexpected issues that only appeared after booking through Expedia. The listing showed that dogs stay free, yet during the online check‑in I was charged £50 for my dog (£25 per night). I was also asked to pay a £30 non‑refundable damages insurance. None of these costs were disclosed upfront, and had they been, I would not have booked. I also learned after checking in that dogs must be kept downstairs only, another important detail that wasn’t made clear before booking. I hadn’t seen the online check‑in message before arriving, so I had to complete it under pressure at the property. By that point, with the extra charges appearing unexpectedly, cancelling wasn’t a realistic option, which made the situation even more stressful. While the property itself was pleasant, the lack of transparency around costs and rules left a sour taste, and I would not return to this booking. It has also made me more cautious about using Expedia in future.

Great beach front property

We had a wonderful stay at Marina Beach House. The property is well equipped and very clean. It also accommodated our dog too which was great. But the highlight has to be its position on the beach. It served as a great base for exploring the wider area such as The Norfolk Broads and Great Yarmouth. There were also some good dog friendly pubs and good takeaways in the local area. The hosts communicate really well before and during the stay. We would highly recommend and we would definitely stay again!
