"The staff here is what makes this hotel a wonderful place to stay. I have many disabilities and the staff has helped me at every step. The manager, Tiberius, is a special person. He has that rare ability to show understanding and compassion. I can’t fault any staff members. They are incredibly helpful. I came here from a horrible experience at a previous hotel and the staff’s kindness helped me to recover from that experience. The bar has wonderful food and less expensive for a hotel which caters to more wealthy clientele. I sincerely hope that guest take a moment to thank the staff. The staff here will always hold a place in my heart. Sometimes, staying in London can be difficult because of the staff. Come stay here. It is a special experience."

"Though the hotel is a bit dated, it is conveniently located within a short walk of Gloucester Road Station, the Natural History Museum, and the Victoria and Albert Museum. The breakfast buffet is great, and the staff are very friendly."

"5 star location , South Kensington Underground Station c5 mins , Royal Albert Hall c 10 mins so great for concerts which is why I was here , Natural History Museum at the end of the road . Studio 8 , 3 floors up , elevator not working so be aware . I was only here for 1 night so no issues as such for me but little other than air con , which was good , seemed intuitive or wasn’t working , I include TV , and Hob but as I say didn’t matter to me . Bit tired and could do with a refresh - shower , a little mould and rust including shower head , and could do with a drain cleaner, plenty of hot water and good pressure. Bed clean and comfortable . Small bistro table was sticky and 3 out of 4 chairs stained , just guest wear and tear but takes the shine off. "

"This was my fourth stay at this hotel; I stay here for the good value and excellent location, as it’s near my favourite parks (Hyde and Holland) and a useful tube station. This stay was a little disappointing because the hotel is under constant construction. It was very disruptive throughout the day, especially as I’d hoped to work from my room during my 8-night stay. I was annoyed by this and the large, rowdy school group that arrived on my last night, partying next door and in the hallways of my (upgraded) room. The hotel itself was as it’s always been: a bit dated but comfortable enough. The service is hit or miss, depending on whom you’re talking with. I recommend staying here for the location and value, as long as you aren’t looking for luxury. It beats other affordable options by a mile. I love that there are bathtubs in all the rooms and the rooms are quite large for central London. M&S and Boots are at the doorstep, and there are tonnes of great restaurants, pubs, and cafes nearby, as well as shopping and parks/gardens. It’s very, very safe and pretty quiet, too."

"We booked the lower ground floor premier apartment for our recent visit to London. On arrival, our very cheerful receptionist informed us that we had been moved to the first floor as the lighting on the lower ground was limited. I had no issue with this but when we got up to the floor via the lift, we found that we had to go up 15 stairs with a large heavy suitcase, then there were another 4 stairs in a very narrow corridor. The room itself was very nice and clean, however it did not appear to be as spacious as the one we had booked. The table beside the kitchenette was very close to the bed and there was not as much space as we had expected, based on our original booking. The safe in the room did not have any instructions as to how to set the code and there was no sign of the wifi password in the room. However, the reception staff were very helpful. Be aware that the rooms have laminate flooring, so you are very aware of the people in the room above moving about - which was not ideal as they were doing this at around 5am which definitely disturbed our sleep. The location of the accommodation was ideal as it was just round the corner from Gloucester Road tube station and there were a wide variety of restaurants in the general vicinity. The Royal Albert Hall was a 15 minute walk away and the Natural History Museum was only a 5 minute walk from the premises. I would recommend this property for a visit to London but would request a different room if visiting again."
