"It was a lovely property with an interesting history. We visited in the middle of a heat wave and without any A/C and being unable to open the windows more than a few inches, the rooms were hot! A nice quiet fan was provided but it made the heat slightly less unbearable. Thank goodness for the pool! The staff were pleasant and helpful."

"I was little disappointed as when I booked through hotels.com platform,they advertised it as breakfast included free but then when I arrived at the hotel, I was told breakfast was not included. They didn't tell me the cost of the breakfast until I asked, neither was I given a receipt of my payment made (I should have asked but I had three little kids to sort out and it slipped out of my mind) The room was stuffy, there was a fan which only had speed control and didn't do a great job. "Like many this was a very brief stop as my flight was late and I didn’t arrive at the hotel until after midnight. It was just what I needed though a good bedroom & shower. Staff were prompt & efficient at check in. Certainly recommend this hotel for an overnight at Gatwick & very affordable as well considering it is based in the airport."
