"Very hot, needed fan on all night as room was sweltering hot, and wasn’t even a particularly hot day. Check-in took half an hour as they wanted to serve all the people at the bar first! But overall service was ok and breakfast very good."

"Patio and patio fence are badly unkempt (with overgrown weeds and loose timber). Half the oven didn't work, either. Sykes Cottages were appalling at dealing with the issues when raised - could have been quickly sorted by efficient maintenance. A shame, as it's a great holiday house."

We had some queries about the property before arrival and found Sykes support lacking but the house keeper for the cottage was really helpful and was able to help us on 2 occasions with instant replies. "on arrival, the property stunk and had bad odour of mice or rats but we did not see any, we found nail clipping on the floor and looked not well cleaned. On the first evening, people arrived at the property and showed us that they also booked the same property and questioned our booking, was awkward and embarcing to my wife and kids. Day 3 while we sat eating we found mice running in the middle of the reception. we left the next morning, one day early. Total miss selling."
