"The tranquil setting and gorgeous building felt very special. We also enjoyed the gourmet breakfast that started the day . My only observation is that the Arts & Crafts building offers an opportunity to enhance that throughout rather than what is on the walls now, and feels like generic hotel decor that could be found anywhere. "We arrived to no one around and after walking around the property finally saw an envelope with our name on it and our key. Our room smelt moldy and damp. The carpet was dirty and the walls were peeling. The beds were very uncomfortable. It was shocking to see after such a high rating. "Great sea view as right on the esplanade. Very quite. Some issues with maintenance of the room, jets not working on jacuzzi bath, and silicone around bath was mouldy. Cold tap on sink moves when turned on. We asked for our tea and coffee tray to be replenished, but that didn't get done. So was a bit disappointing for the price."
