"The room was very clean but one thing I was not expecting, I still have to pay additional $28. They said it was not shown but was included BUT it was really excluded when you paid your booking..was it hotels fault or Expedia?"

"Marriott timber lodge had facade construction activity during our stay which caused a little bit of an inconvenience of in and out traffic from hotel. Positive, hotel location to restaurants & Target, suite kitchen essentials and massive pool area were ideal for first time visitors to Lake Tahoe for a family of four."

"Several places to eat. Room was clean and large. The only thing I didn’t care for was the bathroom. I loved that it’s a stand up shower but the sink was really long and there was no counter space. Bathroom was small but was still a nice place. Very roomy."

"I honestly really love the hotel! It honestly looks very up-to-date and very new! I’ve been here before, but I honestly don’t remember it looking this nice and beautiful. The only thing I would say is there AC doesn’t work as good so sometimes you are still hot in there. Also, we’re just like more food options inside the casino, but there is other options when you walk down the street five minutes but just makes it a lot more convenient when there’s more food inside the casino you’re staying....

"I entered the hotel early asked if my room was ready. They said yes it was. They said the only way I could enter early was I had to pay extra money? I thought that was a little bit strange I paid the extra money, but I just never heard of hotels doing that."

"The lake view from our second-floor room was beautiful, but unfortunately the overall stay was disappointing. The room had a very noticeable smell of cooking oil and kitchen fumes from the restaurant downstairs, which made it uncomfortable to stay in.
There was also a wedding party next door, and the music was very loud until around 10:00 PM. Between the kitchen smell and the noise, it was difficult to relax and enjoy the room.
The view was nice, but based on this experience, I don’t think we...

"I think this deserves a 3.5 overall. There were some great things and some okay.
The positives:
The location is great. A mile to Heavenly Village, close to restaurants, etc. It was easy to drive anywhere.
The valet workers were great! If you aren't a HVC owner then you have to pay $30/night for valet parking. I knew this upfront. They have a simple system to text 15 minutes before you need your car and it was always ready for me within that 15 minutes. The workers worked hard and were always...

"Location is great. Room worked for our needs and included 2 queen beds with twin bunk beds over the top of the queens. Our room had a private balcony with scattered views of Heavenly. Small fridge and microwave in room but you can only plug one in at a time due to limited outlets and 3 prong plugs. The only real negative was the parking. My estimate is that the parking spots to hotel room ratio was 1 to 4 meaning there are no where near enough spots to accommodate the rooms. Get there early and...

"What a fun hotel in Tahoe for families! There are daily activities for kids, a playground, and free popcorn and DVDs to borrow in the lobby. The grounds are covered in flowers and there is plenty of parking. The room we were in had a sofa bed and a queen bed, along with a pretty extensive kitchen and a bathroom with a large shower--essentially a studio apartment. We can't wait to stay here again someday!"
