"A clean, basic but comfortable hotel, sitting somewhere between a Travelodge and a Premier Inn in terms of quality and facilities. Despite being located within a busy motorway service station, it was surprisingly quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. My initial impression was that it represented good value for money, but that dropped somewhat when I discovered parking was an additional charge that hadn't been made clear when booking. The service station is also extremely popular, so finding a parking space can sometimes be a challenge. Overall, I'd describe it as fair value rather than a bargain."

"Plenty of parking and lovely grounds to have a little explore in. Every member of staff we met was super polite and helpful. Good sized clean bedroom, no AC but not a problem in September! Genuinely one of the best breakfasts I've had, would definitely stay again if back in York."
