Ryokan di Higashichikuma District

"A real honor to be able to experience this ryokan ! The room had a private Onsen which was already full and ready for us to use when we arrived. Everything was clean and comfortable The food and breakfast also very delicious So lucky we got to stay here during our trip and we experienced Narai Juku before all tourists came to sight see . Certainly a highlight"

"Great place. As billed. Food was meh. Onsen was fantastic. If you’re a guy, you get access to a big barrel sauna. If you’re a gal, you’re out of luck—their culture, their rules. Nice place though. Great rooms, any amenities you can imagine available for use—robes, slippers, air purifiers, humidifiers, even little bitty crocs for kids. Good location, short stroll to Kozenji Temple. Overall I’d recommend it."

"Great location and the owners were just so wonderful. It's an authentic ryokan, which is what we were looking for. It's not "upscale" like a modern Japanese hotel, but that was the opposite of what we were looking for. Owners were so attentive and lovely."

"スタッフさんたちがみんな朗らかですごく良かったです。　お部屋が、日本好きの映画監督が作ったような、ちょっと異空間ぽくて素敵でした。　温泉は透明で、少しとろみのあるいい湯でした。　上がった後に飲むカリンジュースが美味しかったです。"

"The hotel is nice, but the welcome drinks on arrival is ridiculous. The picked the cheapest quality drinks on the market, especially the orange juice. It tastes so bad, it doesn’t resemble orange at all. It had a taste of detergent… disgusting!!! The previous day, we stayed in a nice hotel in Hakuba, that was slightly cheaper, and they had not only welcome drinks, they had 4 hours every day, for all guests, regardless on their room type and their plan, free drinks, including alcohol and very...

"Very charming ryokan! Stayed with our older children and wished we had more time here. The staff were above and beyond helpful when my teenager left a number of items behind - thank you! The lounge was a nice space to relax in and enjoy the complimentary tea/coffee in the morning and evening. Located on a picturesque street, with a lot of food/shopping nearby and it was an easy walk from the train station. The property is very clear about the age of the building etc - so watch out if you have...
