"This hotel was not quite what I expected. It may be fine for a single-night stay if you’re just looking for a place to sleep and aren’t too concerned about comfort or amenities. The building and rooms felt very old and worn down overall. The floor I stayed on smelled strongly like weed, and the room itself had a sticky feeling to it. "The first impression was our check in, she made sure to let us know upgrade options, which, to our delight, were affordable and turned out great, loved our river front view and space! King suite. The hotel is smack dab where you want to be, walking distance to every thing! Love Chicago, river front walk, architecture, lake, food! Breakfast buffet was great, friendly faces each morning! Doctor conference, lots of them! We enjoyed our stay! Hope to return!"

"For $500 a night it doesn’t come to you as a full service hotel. No on property parking in our valet, rooms are very small restaurant was just ho hum Would probably try other hotels next visit"

"The internet in the room was unstable and didn't connect at all for any of our devices (we tried 5). Also, heating in the room and hot water in the bathroom was ineffective and needs to be inspected. We liked the breakfast and easy access from the Hotel to the main touristy spots in Downtown Chicago."

"Over all it was a pleasant stay. My only complaint was I reported the Kerig wasn't working and they said they would replace it however they never did. There were not many options on their menu for us who have celiac. The woman taking omlet orders was very kind and they were delicious and amazingly quick."

"The historic property is located downtown Chicago, walkable from the Loop/metro, to Millennial park, River walk. The Art Museum. But Yiao!! I had a big miscommunication with Expedia. The room turned out to be $750 a night with costs and fees. And did not include breakfast. I don’t know how I missed that the nightly rate was so exorbitant when booking.
