"Really didn't enjoy our stay. The room was dirty especially around the windows and in poor state of repair with multiple chips in the basin. We had to climb a very old spiral staircase to get to the room which would be an issue for anyone with mobility issues. Finally we were given a choice of breakfast either at 7.15 am or 10.15 and nothing was available in between."

"I can honestly say everything was perfect with the room, it was beautiful, clean, all the amenities you needed was there, front of house was well mannered and polite when we arrived. I had requested for room to be decorated alittle special as it was our anniversary, and my request was granted so if you do want to stay somewhere and make it special always ask they are happy to help. "When we arrived, we were informed there would be no housekeeping in our room as we were nly there for 2 nights, but could ask for extra towels if we wanted them. In our double room, there was only one towel in the bathroom, this had a large orange stain on it. The location of the hotel was good, central. There is car parking, but it isn't cheap. We only had breakfast in the hotel, which was reasonable, on a par with Premier Inn. The decor in the rooms was tired, the bed was comfortable. Bar...

"We just had a standard double room, I was suprised how nice it was for the price. The hotel itself is lovely, such a beautiful place. There are a few animals outside to feed, an outdoor bar area. The bar inside is great and reasonably priced. The food is AMAXING "

"I loved the decor - quite traditional and full of character which I prefer to a more corporate style Some people might find it a little shabby, but very comfortable nonetheless, although a few minor maintenance issues like squeaky doors and wardrobe doors and missing curtain hooks, for example, could be easily resolved. Breakfast was really good and all the staff were unfailingly helpful and pleasant. Great location and great value for money. "

"Well situated. Hotel felt a bit dated but we got a good rate so I guess that reflects it. Staff were friendly but service a little slow and inefficient. We had two rooms for our family. My room was fine but the second room the shower didn’t drain and flooded the bathroom which was a nuisance. I slept perfectly well but it would have been nice to be able to change the temperature- the panel in my bedroom didn’t seem to work. Rooms were clean but looked like they could do with a refurb. "
