"Room was fine and beds were comfy"

"Parking was good, right outside our room. Staff were very friendly and nice. There was a good choice for breakfast of cooked and cereal. The room was clean, did notice a couple of spiders, one small one in the bath which was easily washed down the bath and one above the wardrobe storage, which didn't cause any problems. The light in the mirror one side had dimmed. Very central to York 1/2 and hour and 1 hour from Bridlington. There is a manned bar, but on Wednesday night it wasn't open which...

"Friendly welcoming staff, varied menu and excellent food and atmosphere in the bar area. Good choice of breakfast and plenty of it. Clean and quiet room with a comfortable bed and small but adequate en-suite. We would stay again and would happily recommend it to others."

"We only had a short stay there but the hotel and rooms are spotless, staff friendly and helpful, excellent food and well stocked bar. Ample parking. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would love to go back again. Thanks guys and gals 👍"

"We stayed at Woodhall hotel and spa for 4 nights in the lodges. There was not much natural light entering the room and noise can be heard from the adjoining room The building could do with some refurbishment The views and gardens are beautiful The staff were really excellent and nothing was too much trouble The food was equally good with some fabulous combinations and flavours and, they have an interesting wine list, if slightly on the pricey side. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you"

"I was a walker arriving at the Nag's Head at 15.30. I was warmly received and shown to my very comfortable room. Although the restaurant was closed on a Tuesday evening, i was provided with a wonderful Chinese meal at a very modest cost. I requested a continental breakfast which was fine. Pick Hill is a lovely small village with a long history, some of which is displayed in the ancient church. "

"Spa and facilities were very nice, spacious steam and sauna etc. Breakfast was good. The room we stayed in ( annexe) was tired looking and basic, no walk in shower and the extractor fan didn’t work. Walls very thin and could hear the conversations of people in next room. Bed sheets looked clean but then discovered some stains on them . So we used other bed sheets. After staying in other parts of this hotel previously we were disappointed with the rooms in the annexe part"

"The room had pockets of that sour sweat smell. As my sniffer is off the hook, it bugged me. It didn't bother my husband at all. The bed smelled fresh, the towels were great, just that one weird spot. The grounds are beautiful."

"I was attracted to the driveway and the room wallpaper when I researched on where to stay in North Yorkshire. I was happy with the room though the garden view was a stretch. We had a great dinner at Amber’s restaurant. The steak was decent though the pork loin was too tough. They did pretty mocktails and I was happy to try the sticky dare pudding ice cream. "Goldborough Hall is excedllent in all respects. Breakfast very good. Standards of the hall were supreme. Lovely grounds. A real pleasure to stay at this wonderful hotel. Thankyou."
