"Disappointing one night stop over. Its more of a business traveller, conference & private events venue than a country house hotel. Suite 15 is directly opposite the kitchen extractor fan which is on from before 5.00am until the kitchen closes at night & can easily be heard in the room. The room only had one bedside table & lamp, the glazed entrance is fitted with opaque glass & is the only window so there is no view. If you could see out you would be looking at the car park. "The Cambridge is a gem, so glad I found it. Location is very central for station and civic amenities and walking distance from proper pubs! It's in an older, quieter part of town so there is lots to see and decent places to eat. The rooms are just as good as Premier Inn (where I usually stay when in Huddersfield) and half the price. Parking underneath the hotel is fab and access will be much improved when the road works are finished."

"All night reception was brilliant as I booked to stay after a wedding and hadn’t checked in before hand.
Bed clean and comfortable, bathroom had everything needed and there were tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
The only thing that let it down was at breakfast we missed out on being offered toast and I didn’t get chance to ask for decaf tea when I was brought normal tea. Otherwise, absolutely lovely and it accommodated lots of the wedding party."

Had some food and it was fine and a few drinks.
Nice atmosphere and well situated in the town.
Room was fine, settee was a bit big for the room but you can see what they are trying to do.
Young woman who showed us round was nice and so too the young woman at breakfast."
