"Unfortunately, this hotel was very disappointing. The rooms are old, worn out, and not very clean. Everything feels outdated and in need of renovation. The staff was okay, and the location is convenient, but it definitely does not justify the price. We paid around $300 per night, and for that amount we expected a much better experience. It feels like the high price is mainly due to the lack of competition in the area rather than the quality of the hotel. I wouldn’t stay here again unless there...

"It’s a charming one of a kind place for those who appreciate history and antiques. It’s also walking distance from trains, restaurants and minutes from the glass beach. You can hear the ocean one one side and steam engines from the other! Don’t forget to climb the tower, walk to Glass museum, and visit Piaci’s for awesome pizza and local hard cider!"

"This inn is extremely out of date and does not match the photos which are clearly touched up/edited. Our king sized bedroom was not clean and we had to ask the staff to come clean because there was food and crumbs all over the floor. The walls are not insulated and there are large cracks at the door to let bugs in. The bathroom is outdated, the light fixtures were constantly flickering, and the floors were so dirty we had to wear socks the entire time. I’m not one to write poor reviews but this...

"My husband, dog, and I stayed at Mendocino Cove during their soft opening in June 2026. The property was so peaceful, pet-friendly, and extremely clean. It was a little zen oasis between Fort Bragg and Mendocino. It was so convenient to have to have pickleball courts to play at anytime, and the private beach was an absolute gem.
