"We had a mountain view, which was really a view of the street and neighborhoods on the back side of the resort, we asked for an upgrade but were unable to make a switch. We found the restaurant explanations misleading and the days and times of operation were not consistent with the signage. The food was okay, and had the same options over and over. We were also there during the shut down and received no communication from the resort and when we asked questions received no information. The resort was clean and the staff were friendly. "

Boyfriend was also disappointed that the breakfast buffet was closed as well as the beach bar. We will give it one more chance in May and see if it’s any better when it turns into an all-inclusive property the staff were excellent very very nice room very very clean Lorena our housekeeper was excellent and very nice pool was clean. The property is beautiful."

"We had to upgrade to a balcony with Ocean view and it was gorgeous. Food at this property is inadequate. Not worth the extra $100 US per day. Much better to eat at the local places down the street or Romantic zone. "

"I didn’t have high expectations for this resort as we had stayed in the area previously and were let down at a neighbouring resort but Valas was great! The rooms were clean, the food was probably the best we’ve had an all inclusive, the staff was great. Would recommend! "

"Room was clean, bed good! Shower sprayed directly at the ceiling thru a vast plumbing leak, sink was and remained plugged and filled with water, showers door did not close. Pool was sparsely furnished with torn broken chaises and the pool water was murky……honestly not much different than I expected including a gross breakfast but all for $100 Canadian, so overall, I feel I got more than I paid for!!"
