Our stay was amazing! We got an ocean view room with a private plunge pool. The pool was heated, but not hot tub temperature. Staff was absolutely amazing!

We cannot say enough great things about The Izla Beach Front Hotel. Even before we arrived, they were very helpful & quick to respond to our requests for assistance . They helped arrange airport-ferry-hotel transportation and, after we experienced several flight delays, they were gracious enough to communicate with the shuttle service about our changes in arrival time. Once we arrived, the beauty of the hotel and its location were immediately evident. Perfectly positioned towards the southern end of the island, away from the busier northern end, we felt at peace right away. We highly recommend the all-inclusive package if you plan on sticking around the hotel for most of your trip as we did. It was well worth it. This brings us to our favorite part of our vacation: The hotel staff. Always pleasant; always friendly. They made us feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. Something we haven’t experienced much even traveling domestically. We honestly can’t say enough about them. We wish we could remember all of their names, but frequency brings memory. At breakfast and lunch, Crisandra & Sharon greeted us as we entered the Izla Cafe. Upon being seated, we were once again welcomed by Gerardo, Carlos, Rodrigo, or Russel, but usually all four. They greeted us like old friends each time. In the evening, Jose Luis was there to make sure our dinner needs were met. Speaking of needs, Virgilio & Reyes were more than happy to oblige ours at the poolside bar. We can’t wait to return.

I stayed at Izla Hotel last year with a friend. We had an amazing time and no complaints. This year I went with some other people, hoping we would get the same experience. We did the all-inclusive and enjoyed all of the food and drink drinks that we had. The staff were lovely, especially the bartenders. They really went out of their way to get to know us and make sure that we had a great time. The beds were comfortable and we slept well

The hotel was very clean and in a perfect location right on the beach. The staff were very welcoming/friendly and most were always very helpful. However there were a couple of staff members who were quite rude and dismissive which was very disappointing!! But we would like to mention Josue (rooftop bar) who was AMAZING and very friendly and accommodating!! We had a foul smell coming from the bathroom, so after complaining the staff were very apologetic and immediately upgraded us to an ocean view room. The only negative to this hotel was the food. It quickly became very repetitive and boring as it was pretty much the same food every day/night as part of the all inclusive package (all inclusive menu was different to the normal menu with very limited choice!!). And we didn’t even know about the special dishes when there was an Italian night. I think the hotel management should review their food and have more buffets in the evening and different types of dishes as it quickly became apparent that most of the guests were eating out and the restaurant was empty most evenings. Overall we had a lovely relaxing stay at this hotel.

I stayed for 3 nights. The staff was very polite, and everything looked very clean. The room was spacious and very nice. The beach is not that great, so I only swam in the pool, which was wonderful. We also traveled to Playa Norte for a better beach experience. The only thing I didn’t like about this hotel, and probably the reason I wouldn’t come back, is that I was given a room close to the entrance. My room was probably the sixth one from the lobby, and I could hear a lot of people talking loudly during the night, as well as the neighbors next to me. I even heard the couple next door arguing outside their room around 2 a.m., which was very sad. Since sleep is a priority for me during vacation, this was a big issue. All three nights I didn’t get a good night’s sleep. Maybe if I had a room on the second or third floor it would make a difference, but on the first floor and so close to the lobby it was very noisy, both in the morning and at night. Other than that, the hotel was very good. Even though I really liked the hotel, resting and getting good sleep during my vacation is a priority for me, so I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

When we arrived at the hotel we asked for a bottle of water and they didn't gave any at the reception. We had to pay 80 pesos for a bottle of water at their restaurant. The hotel is at the south end of the island far away from the market and other amenities. They only have one restaurant. Very small beach front with sea weed all over. There is no fridge in the rooms and ice machine was out of service. For two days we asked for a coffee in our room and they ignored our request. I give them 1 star.

Poor and slow service. I didn't stay all- inclusive stagf barely acknowledged my presence. Food came cold and was given 2 separate bills accumumating extra fees. Extremely expensive transportation 150USD option from hotel to airport. Extremely expensive experience for such poor over all service and food.

The hotel is quite nice. All of the rooms have a view of the water, though rooms at the ends of halls definitely can see more of it. The room I had was quite spacious and quite comfortable. Would’ve liked a desk or a small table though. Some rooms do have these… the bathroom is quite large with dual sinks and a very large walk-in shower. The toilet is in its own cubicle within the bathroom. The air conditioning was very efficient and the room came weight a ceiling fan.. after a few nights of too cold or too warm, I managed to get the room comfortable with the air conditioning set to 23 and the ceiling fan on. The balconies are quite large and offer a couch/lounger with padded cushions and a small table with two chairs. The main pool is quite nice with many lounge chairs - some in the water and some on the deck - make for a lovely way to spend the day. There is also a poolside bar but drink delis er service is very slow. The bar onsite was very hot inside every time I visited it. A spotty TV signal made watching the Olympics a bit frustrating. With long pauses of no signal and the tvs all frozen. The restaurant at the hotel is not very good. Quite bland would be the nicest thing I can say about it. The restaurant at the hotel next door is slightly better.. and if you are willing to walk about four minutes there is a very good little restaurant down the street on the opposite side and maybe 150 metres away. My wife and I at had three dinners there. The fajitas were very good!

We had a great stay at Isla Beach Front Hotel. The staff really made the experience. They were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything we needed. The location was perfect for us. It’s in a quiet, peaceful part of the island, but still just a short golf cart ride to Centro, so you get the best of both world with relaxation and easy access to restaurants and shops. The property was very clean and well maintained throughout our stay. The only minor note is that the pools are not heated, but they are kept very clean. Adding a hot tub by the pool would make this place absolutely perfect. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely stay here again.

The staff was very friendly but the quality of the food was terrible. We only ate there one time. The one and only ice machine was broken and there is no refrigerator in your room. The pools were nice but freezing cold. There was a nice beach although the lounge chairs were broken and need to be replaced. The hotel needs to focus on the details that make your stay more enjoyable. For instance, not having to ask for clean towels everyday.Our biggest complaint

This Hotel is fabulous - Clean as a whistle, every friendly staff and service, excellent food and the pools and beach area are fantastic! 5 stars ! We will be back!
