"Staff was very helpful n informed. Especially Rohan at reception who helped us out with all information to go around the city. The rooms tend to be a bit small and bare shelled."

"The historic building is simply beautiful, very charming, and well-restored. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was well-equipped. The service in the restaurant was very friendly but extremely slow. The food was rather mediocre. Breakfast was actually quite poor. There was barely a tablespoon of yogurt with the granola, and the toast was cold and hard like rusk. The location itself is beautiful."

"Visited on Monday 15 June. No staff to check in, just a door bell to security they then let you in to get your key from a key safe inside. No dinner or bar on Monday nights so went to the pub over the road. Double Room petite and bijou but adequate. Left before breakfast so did not speak to any staff during our stay!!!! On our previous visit we did have a very nice breakfast. Recommend it but don’t expect to be pampered, more like an Air B&B at least on a Monday or Tuesday."

"Red Mullions Guest House genuinely feels like a home away from home. Reception was warm and inviting-room was clean and comfortable. Location is very convenient in Oxford (there is a bus stop across the street!) but quiet enough to be away from the heart of Oxford (which is a short bus ride away). Although it is advertised on numerous websites that the rooms are air conditioned the airconditioning had broken so there was nothing on the hottest day of the year. There was air conditioning in the reception that was working and units installed the rooms with control panels but were not working. Their explanation was that the pump or condenser was not working. "The hotel lacks soft close doors meaning doors slam all night long. The pillows had separated and felt like sleeping on clumps of cotton wool. My partner is a pest controller and found they have a problem with carpet months after finding two in the bedroom on entry. We left early and didnt stay the second night."
