"HU was great. Florence is a beautiful but it is a zoo. It was nice to stay at HU away from the crowds. We drove from Sienna and were able to check in early. Our cabin was lovely. The pizza at the restaurant was some of the best we had in Italy. The 14 bus (14A on the ride back) was only a 20 min. ride. My kids loved the pools way more than the Uffizi. Wish we had more time to lounge by the pools. It was nice to see how Europeans vacation."

"The lodges were very compact, however there was a lot of outdoor space. Decent bathroom with large shower. Decent AC and beds were comfortable although the bunks are not quite full length so teenagers couldn’t sleep stretched out. The onsite facilities were good and all the staff were really friendly and helpful. Really good breakfast. Pool was nice (must wear swimming hat) and beach was great but would recommend surf shoes as protection for climbing over the rocks. Shame there was a large fee...

"Nice lodge (superior), air con was nice. Beds basic but fine, shower ok. Beach sunbeds were expensive (£260 for 4 sunbeds for 6 days) but nice enough beach and had to go there because the pool has some crazy ridiculous rule about wearing a silly rubber hat in the pool when it’s 33 degrees. They are not worried about all the children weeing in the pool but if a hair were to fall out! It’s obviously a ploy to divert people away from the pool area and onto the beach which you have to pay for so...

"The people on the reception were very friendly and competent. Prices at the bar were totaly ok. Our apartment in the castle was big and comfortable. Animations for the kids were every evening and the Animators did a good job. On saturday evening there was a band, who played Songs od the 80's. It was cool! All in all a well-organized host."
