"Let me start by saying I can be a picky person. Not obnoxiously so but, I DO like to be comfortable. I believe that your hotel room should be as nice as your home. Even better if it’s nicer than your home. I most always purchase insurance for hotels and airlines however, I’ve never had to file a claim…..until this trip! Let’s see how they handle this claim. The reason for said claim……. I had a reaction to something that was either used to clean or maybe in the laundry? But, I had a hard time breathing and became sick to my stomach while in the hotel. Fortunately, there’s a little “smokers patio” where I could go outside and breathe a little better. We ended up switching hotels and I no longer had a problem, breathing. I used to think Bushwick was ok but, it’s changed. Not a place I would include while making vacation plans. I was there for one reason which was to help pack up my daughter’s apartment so, she can move back to Los Angeles, now that she’s graduated. You’ll be fine there, just be realistic with your expectations !! It’s a short train or Uber over the bridge and into Manhattan. But, while you’re in Brooklyn, I recommend going to Williamsburg and Dumbo and on weekends under the Williamsburg Bridge there’s a great flea market. "

"Friendly staff. Terrible water pressure in shower, had to use sink to wash shampoo out of hair. Very loud street noise, needs better insulated windows and curtains in street facing rooms. "

"Positive: Easily walkable in 5 minutes to Nevins Street subway station. Staff courteous and helpful at reception desk and housekeeping. Convenient adjacent restaurant accessible directly from lobby. Snacks and toiletries available next to reception desk. Negative: Our 6th floor room's furniture and built-ins were a bit worn out and did not match the floorplan layout shown on the door. The room had obviously been converted from a single king-size bed room to a two double-size bed room (not queens). However, the desk staff indicated all the bedrooms were being entirely renovated, currently (April 2026) doing so on the uppermost floor (13th? 14th?), then will be moving down the building one floor at a time. So it may be some time before all the room are refurbished."
