"Although a modest motel, the High Desert is clean. It is conveniently located in joshua tree town and close to west entrance of the park. Didn't use the pool as it was too early in the season."

Not a big deal, but just point it out in case some people have bad backs and/or have trouble stooping. But on a major plus, the floors inside the one I stayed in were wood, so no dirt floors here. "Convenient location, cute home, had everything we needed. Very spacious house and the backyard was very nice. But while the kitchen appliances were retro looking and cute, they weren’t functional for my family’s needs. I couldn’t get the oven to work, my pizza from the market didn’t fit in the compact fridge, and the microwave had Roman numerals on the dials for settings but I didn’t know that the settings meant. "This is such a perfect place to go to Joshua Tree. It very closed to several restaurants and supermarket. You can get free flow of ice cube during summer and you get an intercontinental bfast (no butter for the bread but it's fine 😁). All in all, we are so pleased with our stay there. "

"Only giving it 4 stars because when we entered the room, the floor was extremely wet with puddles in several areas. It seemed like it had been cleaned but not properly dried, and my kids almost slipped. I was also expecting a larger play area based on the photos. That said, we still had a great time, and the pool was definitely the highlight of our visit."
