"Love the hotel and staff. Food service and bar service was good , but food and drink quality was ok but not great. Had one of the worst Bloody Marys and a poorly prepared avocado toast and egg at breakfast. Just thought you guys could do better. Missed having coffee maker in room. Very comfortable and attractive room, common areas like lobby and bars was great as well. Anyway, will be back. A good bordering on very good stay. Cheers"

My only recommendation is that if you are unable to walk up stairs with your luggage you need to communicate that fact in advance. My daughter and I dragged our luggage upstairs. "The hosts were great. We arrived in the city early and they allowed us to keep our luggage there during the day until check-in. The host had brought our bags up to the room. When we checked in, we were given a very welcoming tour of the house and orientation. The house is very centrally located close to shopping, Union Station, restaurants, and the streetcar. "Really enjoyed this stay. The staff were very nice considering a mixup with overbooking, but thankfully I was able to keep my reservation without any added stress. We came from about 8 hours away and were treated super nicely. Room and lobby were spotless, and also made it even nicer than we were only 5 minutes away from our venue! "We’ve stayed here a couple times for an event at the KC Convention Center, and are never disappointed. Staff is very accommodating, always present, super friendly, and seem to enjoy working there. Breakfast is good, it’s nothing to write home about, but it’s hot and has some flavor. The street car is a block and a half away, and there is a Dollar General a block away which carries a little bit of just about everything you need."

"The hotel is modern, but not kept up very well. There were a lot of questionable sticky spots on the wall and crumbs? on our dressers - not a big deal as we brought Clorox wipes. However, the mini fridge smelled horrible. I reported that to the front desk as the smell filled the room when we opened it. They didn’t come deep clean it like they said they would 😂 we tried to keep water and soda in there, and it just smelled like rotten food. Staff and valet were friendly enough."

"Pro's: Covered, secure parking - albeit expensive. Very comfy beds - pillowtop. Bar in the lobby is great and bar food was excellent. Location great for main street and the street car. Cons: pretty filthy. Rooms are not clean, so if you are a clean freak, this may not be the hotel for you. Beds were clean "looking," but bathrooms, walls, closets, doors, handles, etc. filthy.
