"We had a concerning experience during our stay due to a front desk error. We had already checked into our room the day prior, but another group was somehow assigned the same room. While we were inside, that group attempted to enter using their key, which was unsettling. If we hadn’t been in the room at the time, they would have been able to enter without us knowing, which raises concerns about room security. When we spoke to reception, they acknowledged it was their mistake and explained there had been a mix-up because both reservations had the same (or very similar) name. While we appreciate the explanation, this is something that should have been avoided.
Would also like to add when we returned back to the room, a pair of used blue plastic gloves had been left behind, which was unhygienic and reflected poorly on the cleaning standards.
Overall, the situation left us feeling uncomfortable, and the response did not fully reflect the seriousness of the issue. Unfortunately, there was little effort to make this right, and no meaningful compensation was offered despite the seriousness of the situation."
