"Staff can use a customer service training. Staff is not friendly. The people in the front are rude and don’t have basic manners like greeting you. The only people who are friendly in the whole hotel are the people in the valet. Rooms also don’t get clean every day but every other day. Overall not a bad place to stay but I would explore other options first."

"If you are looking for a luxury resort this is not the place. The rooms are small and the location is a little dicey. However if you are looking for an affordable home base. A location between the north and south. My room was clean. Close to the airport but traffic at the airport at night is minimal. I spent very little time in the hotel. Sightseeing. The beaches, Waimea Canyon, sunsets at Kekaha Beach. I had a great stay. Once the lights are out, all rooms look the same."

"Air conditioner was dripping condensation everywhere and there were black stains on the wall from the moisture. Hotel has a lot of dry rot, also beat up a bit from the hurricane I imagined. Homeless were across the parked across the street at the park. I wasn’t sure I made the best choice, but my stay there was pleasant. Bed was comfy but extremely soft. We had the absolute best stay at Hale Hokuala Kauai! The hotel is absolutely breathtaking, extremely clean, peaceful, and secluded, making it feel like your own little paradise. The amenities are fantastic, and there’s even a beach access path right next to the hotel. "Room on the first night had a mattress that was 10 to 15 years old. Springs were so broken there were two body shapes in the mattress 4 to 6 inches deep. Couch was old and dirty.
