"Facility is a bit outdated. Loved the power/heated toilet! Bathtub was significantly chipped and has seen better days. Room was good sized, bathroom was nice. In-room mini fridge and coffee service was a plus. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The 'adult' pool is in the middle of the buildings, which means it gets VERY limited sun. The 'everyone' pool is shallow--I don't think it got above 3.5 or 4 feet--and the water temp was in the 90s. The sandy zero-depth entry for the kids spread pebbles...

"When we checked in, we were told that we were upgraded to an ocean view room.
That room was in an adjacent tower that was partially under renovation. The room we were assigned was NOT an ocean view, but there was a view of a tidal pool.
We believe we were shunted to the tower from the main building, which was much cleaner.
The noise from the tide as so loud that sleep was difficult. We relied on Ambien to get to sleep.
The room itself was OK, though showing its age. There was no hot water,...

"Beautiful property, individual thatched-roof homes feel very authentic and very much vacation vibe.
The restaurants are good (there are three - the Moana main restaurant, then two beach restaurants) but the cocktails were inconsistent. The breakfast buffet is excellent but expensive at $60. The water sports are limited.
The front desk service was also inconsistent - a long check-in experience but then very helpful during the stay.
