The Anvaya Beach Resort Bali

"Large hotel right on the beach, although the beach is not where you want to hang out: they have several pools with many loungers that are convenient, with buttons to summon waitstaff to bring you drinks or food so this makes it very easy to relax and just hang out. Some rooms (our first visit) have patios with direct access to a 3 foot pool outside. Interestingly the rooms in the front of the hotel have access to a different smaller pool from their patios. Two restaurants: breakfast buffet is good in both restaurants and you are sent to one restaurant versus the other depending upon where in the complex you stay. I think it’s better to stay in the side of the hotel that’s open to the beach and that would be my preference if I rebook. I got really sick after eating the Indonesian food in the Indonesian restaurant, but that might’ve been just me."

"We really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were wonderful and friendly. Check in was efficient and friendly. Food was mostly good but would like a better selection for Westerners and overpriced in my opinion. Breakfast in Spices was always a great way to start our day. The staff there were very polite and friendly. We were in a pool suite which was great. We spent alot of time in our own pool that was serviced daily. We should have had ocean views as but there were weddings on right in front of our room for 5 of the 7 days we were here. Although it was very interesting to see them set up , pull down and re set for next wedding this did take away from the relaxing vibe and view from our room and was quite often a little noisy. Our room itself was lovely and clean and housekeeping were great. It does need a bit of a facelift though,and is looking a bit tired. The grounds of the resort were beautifully maintained. The Resort was full although it did not feel crowded at any time. A few more organised activities for the older kids would have been great. Overall we would consider coming back...."

"This hotel exceeded our expectations. The hotel design is remarkable. The breakfast (which came with the room) is outstanding! We wanted to look around the neighborhood but we never wanted to leave because we loved it so much! The bed and pillows are so comfy. They clean your room twice a day! The staff is so sweet and kind. I highly recommend."
