A short Uber ride from the airport, Blue Flamingo exceeded our expectations. The resort itself is exactly how it looks in the website photos, and the staff is more than accommodating. Having access to the Concierge was amazing, as they helped us rent our golf cart for our staff (a must have to travel around the island). There is 2 pools, two bars and the food truck that served a variety of really great food items. It was reasonably priced, and with the daily Happy Hour, you can't go wrong. The list of signature cocktails is quite extensive and all of them are tasty (make sure you try the Spicy Watermelon Margarita and the Florida Crush!!). Irina was our favorite bartender by far! She is funny has great stories, and makes a mean drink. Make sure you stop by the second pool bar in the afternoon to see her.
Our room was everything we expected. Beds and linens were great with daily cleaning service. We had a pool view room that did not disappoint. This resort is very family friendly. With access to different pool floats and a variety of seating options. Do arrive at the pool early, as seats are a premium especially in the afternoon.
About 15 minutes from Duval St., with plenty of restaurant options surrounding the resort, we would definitely considering staying here again as a family.
