"We’ve been staying at Grant Hills for years. The rooms aren’t fancy, though are very clean and comfortable. We like the option to bring our pups with if we choose. The cost of a two night stay is many times less than one night in other Galena hotels. It’s always very quiet and there is a walking path not far away. "

"The pool was icy cold. The shower was a just little bit warm almost cold. Foam plates are not acceptable for hot breakfast food. The door key worked after 5-8 attempts. Breakfast didn’t have any meat. The room didn’t have closet or hangers for jackets."

"Loved our visit, pool floor has been resurfaced and feels nicer. Lifeguards are well staffed and actually use their wissles. Breakfast seating is always an issue but delicious, we ate in our room. Some stains/ wall wiping could be done but overall bug and debris free room. We will be back some day, keep up the good work!"

"The room was clean and nice. Breakfast was lacking. The hot tub was cold. I let staff know and they didn’t do anything about it. I called down a few hours later and a different staff person had it taken care of in 10 minutes. Too late by then to use it. "

"The breakfast was awesome! The pool was freezing, and the hot tub was broken. The front desk staff were wonderful! They were experiencing technical difficulties because a storm took out the phone and internet, so they didn’t know if rooms were reserved, already rented, or available. They had to go back to pen and paper. "

"The hotel was very nice and the communication from them leading up to the stay was excellent. I didn't like the fact that we couldn't control the room temperature ourselves, we had to text the owner to raise or lower the heat, and it was cold for awhile in the room when we arrived. Also, the location is not as close to the main street as described in the overview -- more than a block to the main street where shop and restaurants are. "Nothing was ready for breakfast. No eggs, no sausage, pancake batter that wasn’t mixed properly, horrible watery coffee, orange juice with basically water with orange food coloring. "
