"Superb location and venue. Delightful pub with top cask ale and the food was sublime. Breakfast was fabulous. Staff were highly friendly and attentive. The only negative was the electric shower which was very temperamental and low pressure. A real treat though overall."

"The experience was unique, stopping in Lumley Castle. The staff were so friendly and helpful. This was a bed for the night while visiting Beamish, 11 minutes away. Beautiful setting and grounds.
We didn’t have breakfast or evening meal but would definitely go again for the full experience.

"Overall the hotel was clean and comfortable.
We felt that they were short staffed in the evenings. We ate in the hotel restaurant on our first evening and it was disappointing. Our first 3 choices of starter (out of 8 on the menu) were not available. The mains took almost an hour to arrive and when they did, none of our 4 meals was hot. The best was lukewarm but we were too tired and hungry to send anything back. Only 2 staff covering the bar and restaurant was not enough, and we had to queue...
