"I have to say that the staff were super friendly and very welcoming, not only the bar staff but also the breakfast chef and even the cleaner! The inn was situated in a nice out of town area surrounded by fields. There is a business nextdoor but there was no overnight noise from it. The food and the beer were amazing too. "The room was brill for me as a single room but was updated to a Twin room which was excellent,and all the staff,waitresses,bar and reception could not be more welcoming especially whe you are on your own. Could not fault"

Only continental breakfast included absolute joke. Dinner in restaurant again poor Pad Thai must have been left on pass chicken and prawns dry sauce way to thick again dried out. "Had a great stay here, it had everything from great food , friendly staff and a well equipped gym and pool. To top it off for us, it’s dog friendly too! All the staff were super helpful and attentive to our needs, from reception to bar and gym staff. Everyone made us feel so welcome, even the gym members. This will be a regular stop off for us whilst visiting my daughter in Liverpool. All I can say is Thank you . Lisa, Lee and Finley x"

"We stayed in a twin room .beds comfortable but room very narrow. No mirror to do hair.toilet roll holder broken. Friendly staff in restaurant, lovely food. Not much disabled parking which made things difficult. Lovely treatments in spa."

"Liked the garden, but it needs a little C&A... Disabled car parking near to our room (No.5) was an excellent bonus. Breakfast was excellent but a bit expensive. Staff were all very courtious and helpful. Direct booking rather than via an agency is preferred. We will certainly be recomending the Lion to our friends and relations and using you again next time we are in the area. The only down sude was the loss of my credidit card - was is handed in to you?? Dennis Cole"
