"Overall positive. Drive-up was easy and door staff friendly. I was a bit frustrated at check-in. I was in the Elite line with a single attendant. There were 3 for everyone else so we were being lapped. Even when there was noone in the standard line none of the attendants helped those of us in the Elite line. Never experienced that before. Room clean, nice view. West tower, looking over the lagoon. Would suggest doing something with the roof we overlooked; its a bit of an eyesore. Maybe a green...

"I love staying at the Royal Kona. I think it’s a great value for so many reasons. Great room options, especially if you want to save a few dollars on renovation rates. On the ocean with a pool and a saltwater beach I haven’t gotten to enjoy yet (my fault!). Restaurant is right by the pool so you can grab drinks or food. The restaurant does breakfast starting at 06:30! I think they end dinner at 21:30. Ice machine and purified water station, wifi, parking if you don’t mind a $25 daily rate....

"The property itself was fine. I didnt like that they left opened condiments and a water bottle in the refrigerator. Or that the sink pop up didnt work, or what looks like mold developing on the shower liner. But you get what you pay for, so it is what it is. My plane changed after booking so I had to extend my time with a late checkout, which I paid almost a whole day for to check out at 5 pm instead of 10 am. "Apt was fabulous: clean, comfortable, spacious, and modern. The portable AC unit had a locking device on it so we weren't able to cool down the apartment. We made good use of the ceiling fans and pedestal fan. We had a difficult time finding the apartment within the complex. Now that we have some idea of the complex layout, we'd stay at this place again."

"Overall this is nice property 8/10. Clean well manicured botanical grounds with a quiet large patio area with AMAZING SUSNET Views. Soothing crashing waves all day and night however NO immediate ocean swimming or beach access (drive / walk for that) No onsite food / bar NOT GOOD was having to punch in a 6 to10 digit code on a keypad EVERY TIME FOR EVERY pool gate, the 1 elevator and our condo door. "The room was cool and quiet. Parking was easy and there was always a spot available. The condo had a TV and Wi-Fi and games available to play. Having a full kitchen was nice to be able to buy groceries and not eat out every night. The pool and hot tub across the street were excellent and the staff was friendly."
