"This is an old hotel but it was very clean and we loved the location in downtown Kona. We could walk to restaurants and bars. We paid for a very nice corner room with a huge lanai. The surf crashed below. We also made use of the tennis courts. The Mai Tai bar was good and the food while not high end was well prepared. Staff were nice."

"Room was 241 was horrible. When asked the owner to correct the issues They just accused us of insane things and ignored us. We paid to move respond. "Mostly very clean, except sliding glass doors. Would have cleaned myself but no cleaning materials on site. Wanted to love this place. We have stayed in other units but were delighted to find a first floor unit. The good: well equipped, comfortable, plenty of towels, and beach stuff. Nice patio area. "1. The road into the property was dreadful. 2. To access the restroom/shower, you had to go OUTSIDE to another building; not good, especially in the middle of the night!
