"Not sure if the style of the room is actually old or designed to look as such but you do get a sense of luxury. But on the other hand the shower pressure is almost non-existent. The service offered is nice with complimentary drinks (water and soft drinks) and breakfast. I wish they did not charge for parking."

"Valet parking is free. Small hotel feeling. Views of ocean. Five minute walk to beach. Great location on downtown La Jolla. Water and snacks in room are free. Shower water is hot almost instantly. About half the price, and as good, as nearby more famous La Valencia Hotel."

"Very nice staff. Very small rooms. The rooms on the street level are like motel rooms where you enter the room from the outside are very loud. There is only one very small window so very little light in the room and not many lamps. Room is very dark. The air conditioning was very loud and probably why ear plugs are provided on the bedside."

Upon arrival, we waited over an hour for valet with no alternative parking options available. We were told the delay was due to events at the property, but that is a management and staffing issue, not a guest issue.
