Breathtaking views and nice rooms. The property is away from the city. It is a bit dated and could use some updates. The restaurant has amazing views of Labuan Bajo and is the best for sunsets. The food was great. Unfortunately, we encountered a lot of smokers.

I booked a deluxe sea view double bed room on Expedia. When I showed up at the hotel, they claimed I was booked for a worse room without a view (garden view). Not only that, they put me in a twin room with small twin beds and they said I would have to change rooms on my third night and final night of my stay, which as anyone knows, is a big inconvenience. So, I had to argue with them and get Expedia to help me get the deluxe sea view room I booked and paid for. I spent the first hour killing countless mosquitoes, flies, spiders, cockroaches, and caterpillars. I understand it’s the wild tropics, but the staff clearly put no effort into pest control. There were huge gaps between the front and rear doors and the floors underneath them, allowing any bugs to waltz in. Every time I left the room for a few hours I would return to see loads of bugs, mostly centipedes/millipedes and mosquitoes. Same goes for every morning I woke up. I killed 100 bugs during my 3 day stay. I spoke with other visitors on my boat tour the next day, and they all said that there were few or no bugs in their hotel rooms at different hotels. The staff are nice and always smile and greet you, but unfortunately they aren’t very good at cleaning, pest control, or keeping reservations organized. Internet was very spotty and rarely worked. Internet didn't work most of the time.

Great view but very isolated.
The view over the harbor is unbeatable. And the price reflects that. The rooms are spacious and the staff helpful. However because it’s on a hill, it’s rather isolated and it costs 70,000 rupiah (one way) to get into the town for dining. There are no taxis in Labuan Bajo. The hotel provides free pick up and drop off only to the airport. The hot water seems to last for a maximum of 10 mins, unfortunately.

Great stay
Hotel room is spacious and staff are friendly and helpful. The view is really great at the hotel pool and cafe. Location is far from jetty, but free shuttle service is available.

They would ahave got a 5 stars if the shower didnt keep flooding the room. No hob to stop water leaving bathroom. Make sure you book a ocean fiew otherwise you will be in a room with no windows or balcony

Really Nice Hotel,
Very nice hotel with friendly staff, good rooms and beautiful views over the bay and Flores Sea. Really nice treat after or before you go to Komodo. A bit more on the expensive side compared to other options but from my opinion it’s worth it. Food is ok, there are other options in the town.

The rooms were quite nice for the price. The view from the hotel is outstanding. What an amazing place to be at sunset. The food at the restaurant was very nice, good price for food and drinks. Very helpful and friendly staff. I would stay there again.

Amazing views and service! We were so happy staying here and would definitely recommend this place. heir in-house breakfast is also super yummy! Only thing that could be improved was the breakfast box that they pack for you when going on cruises.

Great place!
Great view, friendly staff, and very accommodating! It is a little further out of town, up on a hill, but nothing too far. It is worth it for the view, I think!

Fantastic view, welcoming staff, clean and comfortable room. Some might find it a little challenging with the wet bathroom, as in shower next to toilet without curtain. But it’s no big deal. They offer yoga by the pool and more importantly unbeatable sunset!

The staff could not do any more to make you feel welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The views from the hotel are amazing and add to an already lovely experience. Food is excellent and there is shuttle service available for airport and trips to town (only a twelve min walk to airport and 20 mins wall into town). A few elements of the hotel are tired and need updating /refreshing and housekeeping sometimes forgot to replace things our room, however, this was quickly addressed upon request.

Loved this hotel! We've spent most of our trip in 4 and 5 star hotels and this was on par for the location! The pool and view were incredible. Room was sufficient, just very basic.

Lovely spot above Labuan Bajo
Overall a very good stay. La Cecile is located a nice distance from the noise and chaos of town but is a quick 15-20 minute walk to the main street. The pool is lovely and the sunset views are spectacular. The restaurant is ok, but you can find much better food in town. The front desk staff are always available and very helpful, but I would not take their advice about things like tour companies and where to rent a scooter. You do better to research for yourself. A few small things ... the wifi is poor, my tv did not work, and my room door would not lock. Not big issues for me, but these things might bother some people. Overall a very nice stay and I would recommend it.

Wonderful view and comfortable room
Fantastic view over Labuan Bajo and out towards Komodo National Park. Service was excellent, and room was very clean with a comfortable bed. The included a-la carte breakfast was yummy and very substantial. We stayed here both before and after our dive trip to Komodo. Getting to town is either an easy 15-20 minute walk downhill or a quick ride.

The hotel was lovely and had a great pool with a view. It is outside the main town, which is good. I spent one night downtown and woke up several times due to boats and the call to prayer. La Cecile was much quieter, but the call to prayer will likely still wake you up around 430. The best part about the hotel were the people. All the staff were helpful and nice. Transportation to the airport was included. The restaurant was good and I really enjoyed the breakfast that was included. My room had a balcony with a good view.

La Cecile is a new hotel. Great view -location fine as they offer a shuttle service for getting up and down the hill.......Our room was comfortable and well appointed -enjoyed sitting in the sun on the small deck opening onto the garden. Great pool - swim with a view. Breakfasts are excellent -as is the restaurant for lunches/dinners. The staff are all extremely cheerful and helpful. very efficient. Would highly recommend.

Newly built hotel with beautiful views overlooking the port and sea. Great infinity pool and the staff are excellent and friendly. Free shuttle at set times to the main town but you can also walk down. Nice ambience and lovely to be away from the hustle and bustle of the main town but. Still within walking distance.

Lovely hotel with really fantastic staff.
We stayed in a garden view room which was a decent size and had an ensuite loo / wet room. Bed was comfy and air con worked really well however we could not get any Wi-Fi in our room which was a little disappointing. Although the hotel feels far from the main street there is a free shuttle service which was perfect for us. The pool is fabulous and overlooks the bay with gorgeous views. Unfortunately we felt a little uncomfortable at the pool as people (I think locals?) were taking pictures and videos of us from the bar area, with one woman putting her camera phone in my face and laughing!? We went on a tour that left early in the morning and the staff were very helpful putting together a take away breakfast for us. In fact throughout our whole stay the staff were very attentive and gave fantastic service. Food at the hotel is also excellent and we loved the spring rolls!! Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the area.
