The view from our room over the Atlantik just a few metres away made for a powerful experience in its own right. The beach and historic town of Ribeira Grande are in walking distance. "Don't be fooled. This resort does not have a spa or spa services as advertised on expedia. However, apart from that, it was a lovely hotel."

"The view from the upper rooms of the ocean is breathtaking. The bed is comfortable and the small kitchen space has the basics of what you need. The patio space is shared with other units (although some bamboo provides a bit of privacy) so others smoking &/or having loud conversations can affect the tranquility. The surrounding area is farmland so it is very tranquil. The lodge is under renovation/construction - something we didn’t know. But the work stops in the afternoon so there was no issue....
